The sketches grew a little day by day. When Ed was in the mess hall Cassie would not let him step forward to interfere with the composition of her scene, no matter that the scene was discomposed every day by the milling of the men and the cycling of those off duty and on. Cassandra hovered in the doorway to the small log house. Some part of her knew the inside, was familiar with the low, roughly made wooden bedstead and the bright patchwork quilt, and with the black stove at one side of the room, and the little table made of two smoothed planks propped at one end and pushed into the wall at the other. Some part of her knew that this was home. But it was not home, and this man named Ed was unfamiliar to her, even if he was tall and beautiful and believed that he knew her. Something seemed wrong in going on into that house and living in it as if she had always lived there.

The swoosh and the thud and swoosh and thud sounded as easy as if he had been making that movement for years. He looked like part of this place, standing in the shade where the wall cast a shadow and swinging his arms up with his shirt sleeves rolled high and bringing the axe down like a promise into the flaking white grain of the wood.

First off, I want to say that this you've done a really fantastic job in the edit of the photo. The angle makes it's impact on the viewer, signifying the mornings when you are ready for the taste of your first coffee cup of the day. Honestly, I can almost feel the warm, sweet bitterness of the liquid on my tongue. It takes a lot for me to feel such an impact from any kind of photo (manipulated or not) and I congratulate you.

I really like the foam heart. It was the first thing I saw that I liked, along with the wood grain. I thought that it was you did well with it.
The only negative thing is like what iris789 has stated in his/her critique is that it IS a frequently used design. But I believe you've added a little bit of...."you" in the piece, if you get what I mean then that's good.
As a whole, a fabulous piece.

Now don’t we all love coffee?
Couldn’t agree better, my dear friend

I must say that I truly love your concept, your wonderful edit, your angle, and the warm and probably semi-dark colors. It’s indeed very creative and at the same time, in my opinion, cute. Why cute, you may ask? Yes, cute, thanks to that amazingly adorable little heart-shaped coffee foam. It’s small yet all the attention falls on it, not because of its right in the middle centered position but because of its hard-to-forget figure and significance. It means love, adoration, passion, lust. And I must say, my day’s a total mess if I don’t start it properly, this meaning having a large warm cup of sweet coffee, preferably with honey. You give me that long-awaited morning-feeling, it makes me a bit sleepy but on the other hand ready to face a need day, full of energy. Even if I’ve seen this concept several times before, your idea still keeps that tint of originality, despise the frequently used design. The angle, commonly used as well, isn’t that special but its symmetry and proportions are what particularly caught my attention.
Overall, amazing work!
