It rained, and it rained, and it rained, and we stood on Tal-y-Cafn bridge for almost an hour next to a man wrapped entirely in plastic and waterproofs, waiting - and then she came

And then, in a moment of madness, we chased her up the valley (after deciding not to bother), weaving back and forth under the railway, hearing her steaming through the open window, catching glimpses of steam through the trees. It was stupidly exciting We caught her at Roman Bridge (Dolwyddelan), and then raced her up to Blaenau, but she won, as is fitting
